EXT. A RESIDENTIAL STREET -NIGHT
A quiet road with dimly lit street lights. An owl is hooting on a nearby tree.
A grey car approaches and slows down, presumably looking for a parking space. The car park is full.
INT. A GREY CAR -MOMENTS LATER
SHIELA, a 30 something years old nurse, still wearing nurse’s badge, is talking to her colleague via the car’s hands-free speakers.
SHEILA

Somebody bloody stole my parking space.

As she reaches her front door, Sheila hears voices inside as if there was a party going on.

Sheila looks around and finds a twig. Clasping it like a weapon, she slowly opens her main door.
INT. SHEILA’S HALLWAY -NIGHT
Sheila slowly closes the door behind her and reaches for the switch. The light comes on, but the hallway looks empty. Sheila is relieved, smiles at herself and opens the living room door.
INT. SHEILA’S LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Sheila pushes open the living room door. Suddenly the lights turn on.

Sheila's confusion slowly turns into fear.

A YOUNG WOMAN approaches and hands Sheila a glass of wine.

(Smiling)
Happy Birthday, Shiela.

Shiela freezes and tries to say something. TWO CHILDREN, aged five and seven, run up to her.

You can stop pretending to be surprised now, Sheila.

The room fills with laughter. A MAN approaches bewildered Sheila and kisses her on her trembling lips.

Sheila doesn’t recognise any of the people, including the man and children. She looks around to ensuring that she hadn’t accidentally gate-crashed somebody else’s house.
Sheila makes another attempt to say something. Nothing is coming out of her mouth. She gulps the wine in one go and puts the glass on the nearby table.

She runs upstairs without looking at anyone.
INT. SHEILA’S BATHROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Sheila flings the bathroom door open and slams it. With trembling hands, she locks the door.
She looks around and picks up a photo frame.
It has a photo of herself, the children and the man who kissed her downstairs.
