INT SHEILA'S BEDROOM - MORNING
SHEILA wakes up, gasping for air, covered in sweat. She glances around the room, confused and disoriented. She felt like she'd been transported somewhere new; everything looked surreal and out of place.
SHEILA
(desperately)
What... What's going on?
She hesitantly swings her legs out of bed and stands, her footsteps echoing through the familiar, yet strange house. She cautiously pushes open her bedroom door.
INT SHEILA’S KITCHEN- MORNING
The sight that greets her is beyond comprehension: her doppelgänger stands at the counter, humming a cheerful tune as she pours steaming tea. Sheila freezes, her heart pounding in her chest, terror flooding her senses.
SHEILA
(screaming)
Who are you? What are you doing in my house?
The doppelgänger turns slowly, a malevolent grin spreading across her face.
DOPPELGÄNGER
(slyly, pouring tea)
Oh, dear Sheila, this is your house. I’m merely preparing some tea. Did I disturb your beauty sleep?
SHEILA, shaking with fear, backs away in sheer panic and bolts from the room.
INT SHEILA'S BEDROOM – MOMENTS LATER
SHEILA slams the bedroom door as she gets in and presses her back against it. An unsettling mutter drifts from the outside.
DOPPELGÄNGER (O.S)
One sugar, lots of milk, just the way you like it. Are we out of the biscuits again?
SHEILA’s mind races, trying to piece together the madness surrounding her. After an agonizing moment, she strains to listen, but hears nothing. Summoning every ounce of courage, she seizes a large empty vase, and decides to confront the intruder.
INT. SHEILA’S STAIRS -MOMENTS LATER

INT SHEILA’S KITCHEN-MOMENTS LATER
SHEILA inches through the doorway, heart racing, but the kitchen is empty.
She drops the vase on the kitchen top and looks around, but there is no sign of the intruder.
INT.LIVING ROOM - MORNING
Confused and overwhelmed, SHEILA collapses onto the couch, burying her face in her hands. After a brief moment of stillness, she gathers herself and picks up the phone, dialling a number with trembling fingers.
A FEMALE VOICE (O.S)
Hello, thank you for calling the city hospital admin, Jane speaking, how can I help you?
SHEILA
(anxious)
Hey Jane, it’s SHEILA. I can’t come to work today, got a um... a bit under the weather
JANE (O.S)
(Laughing)
Nice try, Sheila! It might have worked if I hadn’t just seen you in your office five minutes ago.
SHEILA drops the phone in shock, Jane’s voice trailing off.
JANE (O.S)
By the way, you looked cool today with that new hairstyle. Are you coming to the birthday party this evening?
FADE OUT.
