INT. ROBIN'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY
A quiet, sun-dusted room. On a side table: Sympathy cards, a small vase of wilting flowers and a framed photo of ROBIN (30s) with his late wife, SIMI.
Robin enters with a handful of letters, idly flipping through as he moves towards the kitchen.
ROBIN
(muttering)
Bills, junk mail, more bills...
He stops. An envelope addressed to SIMI catches his eye. The return address bears the logo of RM PROPERTIES. His brow creases. He tears it open and scans the page.
His face drains, eyes widen.
ROBIN
(whispering)
What the…?
He pivots back to the living room and frantically dials the number on the letter. We catch a glimpse of the letter, RM PROPERTIES REF 25118
As the phone rings, a blend of confusion, shock, and anticipation flickers in Robin's face.
CUT TO
INT. REAL ESTATE OFFICE - DAY
AMY,(20s) a young real estate agent, sits behind a cluttered desk. A tired rubber plant is leaning towards the light. A wall calendar bristles with pinned notes. The office is quiet, except for the soft hum of a computer and occasional street noise seeping through a slightly ajar window. The phone RINGS, breaking the monotony. Amy straightens, lifts the receiver.
AMY
Good afternoon, RM Properties. Amy speaking, how can I help?

ROBIN
(on the phone)
Yeah, hi...I, uh, I need some information about a property, apparently in the name of my...my late wife, Simi Green.

AMY
I'm so sorry for your loss, Mr…?
She clicks into the system, fingers poised
ROBIN (V.O)
(Inaudible giving details)
Amy types rapidly, eyes scanning the monitor. A record pops in. She leans in.
AMY
Mr Green, I do see an entry under Simi Green. However, before I discuss anything, we’ll need to verify your identity and relationship. If you can come by with photo ID and supporting documents, we can go through it properly.

Robin's jaw tightens.
ROBIN:
(frustrated)
This is ridiculous! She's… was.. my wife! Can’t you just tell me what this is about?
CUT BACK TO:

AMY, maintaining composure, empathetic.
AMY:
I totally understand your frustration, Sir, and I truly wish I could provide details over the phone. Our policy and privacy regulations won’t allow it. If you bring ID and anything confirming your relationship—marriage certificate, proof of address—we can review everything today. I can schedule you in immediately.
CUT BACK TO:
INT. ROBIN'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS
Robin exhales sharply and throws the phone on the couch.
ROBIN:
(muttering to himself)
This makes no sense... a property?
He stares at the letter, then at the photo of Simi He sinks onto the sofa, the weight of unanswered questions pressing in. His hand hovers over the stack of post, then falls away.
FADE OUT
